Community Food Charters: What they are and when to use them.
Wednesday November 19, 2008 from 1-3pm
St. Mary's Hospital Boardroom, Sechelt
Barbara Joughin, a member of the Vancouver Food Policy Council and Linda
Geggie from Victoria’s Life-Cycles and CRFAIR will explore what food
charters are, when are they useful, what are their limitations and how
to go about getting one.
Participation can be in person at St.Mary's Hospital Boardroom, Sechelt or
by conference call with a downloadable powerpoint presentation.
Intended audience: For community members or professionals who are
interested or involved in food issues and would like to know more about a
useful tool for promoting food security within local communities.
