Roberts Creek FALL FAIRE

Come celebrate the renaissance of food and farm culture at our second annual FALL FAIRE. Meet your farming neighbours and share in the season's abundance. Enjoy music, great local food, food skills workshops, veggies contests and fun for the whole family. Best of all - stock up with all the local food you need for the next weekend's Thanksgiving celebration. Sunday October 4th, 12 - 4 pm at the Roberts Creek Community Hall Admission is $2 and includes a chance to win the spectacular door prize! Just like last year, we'll have a variety of great kids activities including pumpkin carving, face-painting and more. A superb way-less-than-100-mile lunch will be available along with snacks and refreshments. Bring your garden's pride to enter in these fun contests: * Most-local & most-delicious pie * Tastiest locally-made preserve * Biggest pumpkin or winter squash * Best dressed zucchini * Most unique-looking vegetable Tables are available for farmers & food producers - only $5 plus door prize donation. Tables are available free to non-profit orgs and community projects. If any of you food action folks would like to get involved, we are looking for volunteers for a variety of activities: * set-up crew * tear-down crew * kitchen * greeting at door * workshop assistants Nominate your contest judge now!
